SBOTOP: Real Madrid Report UEFA as Barcelona Prepare Legal Action

The long-running and highly controversial conflict between Barcelona and Real Madrid has once again intensified, with the so-called Negreira case returning to the center of European football attention. Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has now officially escalated the matter by preparing to bring the issue directly to UEFA.

The Real Madrid chief has expressed strong frustration over what he sees as slow and insufficient action from Spanish football authorities. Pérez remains determined to fully expose what he describes as a systemic issue that has allegedly harmed sporting fairness in La Liga for years.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are not staying silent. The Catalan giants are reportedly studying the situation carefully and are considering launching their own legal response in order to defend the club’s reputation against the growing wave of accusations.

This escalating dispute between Spain’s two biggest football institutions is increasingly being viewed as one of the most serious off-field battles in modern football history, with legal and political tensions now running at an all-time high.

500-Page Dossier Prepared by Real Madrid Ahead of UEFA Submission

Florentino Pérez is reportedly taking a highly aggressive approach in pursuing the Negreira case. According to Spanish media, Real Madrid have compiled an extensive investigative dossier spanning around 500 pages, which will be submitted to UEFA once the current season concludes.

The document is expected to outline detailed claims and arguments related to the alleged irregularities surrounding former Spanish refereeing official José María Enríquez Negreira and Barcelona’s historical payments linked to consultancy services.

Pérez has also suggested that Real Madrid no longer fully trusts La Liga’s handling of the situation, which has further fueled his decision to escalate the matter to European football’s governing body.

“There is also our ‘eternal enemy,’ LaLiga. We will fight. I am fighting against everything. Systemic corruption in the Negreira case… how can we simply forget this?” Pérez stated.

“We are preparing a 500-page document that I will send to UEFA after the season ends. I have already spoken with them. There is no precedent like this in world football. This is the biggest corruption case ever,” he added.

Claims of Lost Titles and Sporting Injustice

The Real Madrid president has gone further by suggesting that his club may have been significantly affected over several decades due to the alleged irregularities. He believes that Barcelona’s payment structure to Negreira played a key role in shaping past competitions.

According to Pérez, Real Madrid’s domestic and European success could have been even greater if the alleged influence had not existed. He openly claimed that the club may have been deprived of multiple trophies over the years.

“I have been here for many years, and during that time I have won seven Champions League titles and seven league titles. But that number could have been 14 if things that I believe harmed us had not happened,” Pérez said.

“We even made a video about 18 points that were ‘taken away’ from us this season. I cannot stay silent about this. There is a kind of conspiracy involving certain media outlets. It cannot be allowed to continue like this,” he continued.

He further emphasized his belief that Barcelona have historically benefited from the situation, insisting that UEFA must now become involved to properly investigate the matter.

“It is unacceptable that they have been under suspicion of corruption linked to payments over 20 years,” Pérez added.

Barcelona Preparing Legal Response Amid Growing Pressure

Barcelona, however, have strongly rejected all allegations related to corruption, maintaining that the payments in question were strictly linked to professional consultancy services regarding refereeing analysis.

In response to Real Madrid’s escalating accusations, the Catalan club’s legal department is now reportedly reviewing the situation in detail. Lawyers are carefully analyzing every public statement made by Pérez and Real Madrid officials to determine whether legal action for defamation or reputational damage is necessary.

Barcelona remain firm in their stance that no sporting wrongdoing occurred and continue to insist that the case has been misinterpreted and exaggerated in public discourse.

At present, the club is adopting a cautious and strategic approach, choosing not to escalate tensions publicly while preparing its internal legal strategy.

One of the Most Explosive Off-Field Rivalries in Football History

The renewed conflict between Real Madrid and Barcelona over the Negreira case has now evolved far beyond a domestic dispute. With UEFA potentially being drawn into the situation and both clubs preparing legal arguments, the case is becoming one of the most closely watched controversies in world football.

As both sides prepare for further confrontation off the pitch, the football world is left waiting to see how far this unprecedented legal and political battle between two of Europe’s biggest clubs will ultimately go.
