SBOTOP: Amorim Ready to Ship Out Three Man United Stars in January 2026 Market

Manchester United are expected to trim their squad when the January 2026 transfer window opens, with reports suggesting that three young players could be sent out on loan. The decision comes as the club faces a demanding fixture schedule, growing injury concerns, and the upcoming departures of several key players for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

United’s momentum was recently halted after a run of five unbeaten games. The Red Devils suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Everton at Old Trafford on Tuesday morning (25 November 2025, WIB). That loss pushed Ruben Amorim’s side down to 10th place in the Premier League standings with 18 points from 12 matches — a position far from their early-season expectations.

The team will be back in action on Sunday (30 November 2025), travelling to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace. After that, Manchester United will navigate a hectic December schedule featuring six league fixtures, including tough encounters against Aston Villa and Newcastle United. This busy period leads directly into the winter transfer window, where squad adjustments are expected.

Three Young Players Likely to Be Loaned Out

Amid the need to strengthen the squad — particularly with injuries impacting players such as Benjamin Sesko and the temporary loss of Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui to AFCON duties — manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly open to allowing several fringe players to leave on loan.

According to a report from the Daily Mail on Thursday (27 November 2025), three young talents are being considered for temporary moves in January: Diego Leon, Sekou Kone, and Ayden Heaven. The objective is to ensure they receive consistent playing time that they are unlikely to get at Old Trafford during this busy phase.

Diego Leon

The 18-year-old Paraguayan left-back, signed during the summer transfer window, has yet to make his debut for the senior team. Leon currently sits behind experienced full-backs Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu in the pecking order, making a loan spell a realistic option for his development.

Sekou Kone

Kone, a defensive midfielder from Mali, is another player still waiting for his first appearance with the senior squad. He has been featuring regularly for the U-21 side, but United believe that real competitive minutes at a professional level could accelerate his growth.

Loan List Continues to Grow

Ayden Heaven, who made his senior debut last season, has played three matches for United this campaign. However, the coaching staff feel that regular football would benefit the young midfielder, making him a strong candidate for a short-term move.

Manchester United have already loaned out several players this season, including high-profile departures. Big names such as Marcus Rashford (Barcelona), Jadon Sancho (Aston Villa), Rasmus Hojlund (Napoli), and Andre Onana (Trabzonspor) are currently gaining minutes away from Old Trafford.

In addition, goalkeeper Radek Vítek (Bristol City), Harry Amass (Sheffield Wednesday), Toby Collyer, Dan Gore, and Ethan Wheatley are also out on loan at various clubs.
