Farah emerged victorious over an impressive list of nominees, which included elite bowler Sin Li Jane, silat specialist Nor Farah Mazlan, wushu exponent Tan Cheong Min, and talented track cyclist Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri.

The evening also celebrated Malaysia’s para-athletes. Bonnie Bunyau Gustin, the powerhouse in para-powerlifting, was named National Paralympic Sportsman of the Year.
